Ticks are saved on this device only. Timelines vary with your visa and employer; move items earlier if your registration or visa is still in progress.

The three that matter most for a clinician

Registration
You cannot work until your board has registered you and, where it applies, issued a practising certificate. If any step is outstanding, know who is waiting on what, and tell your employer. Some new registrants start under supervision; find out before you arrive.
Visa conditions
A work visa is usually tied to a named employer and role. Read the conditions on the grant letter, and check the start date on your contract matches what you told Immigration New Zealand.
The first shift
Ask your employer for a list of what they need before day one: ID, registration evidence, bank account and IRD number for payroll, police check status, uniform sizes, and your induction dates.

Your first weeks after landing are in Your first month; the full list of everything in the move is in the relocation checklist.
