Hand Therapist — Palmerston North
Ethicare is supporting a nationwide private rehabilitation provider whose Palmerston North team is looking for a Registered Hand Therapist. Registered with Hand Therapy New Zealand, you’ll deliver excellent outcomes across upper-limb rehabilitation and mentor a growing team of associates towards their own registration.
About the role
You’ll determine treatment plans and rehabilitation programmes for clients with upper-limb conditions, prepare clear clinical documentation, and supervise associates through their registration journey. A sound working knowledge of ACC obligations, guidelines and policies underpins the work, within a collaborative, growth-focused team.

- Determining treatment plans and rehabilitation programmes for upper-limb conditions
- Preparing clinical documentation and client reports
- Supervising and mentoring associates towards registration
- Applying ACC obligations, guidelines and policies
- Managing your own caseload and diary
About you
- A degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- A current Annual Practising Certificate and registration or membership with Hand Therapy New Zealand, the Physiotherapy Board or the Occupational Therapy Board
- Experience in upper-limb rehabilitation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A commitment to mentoring and clinical excellence
