General Practitioner — Wellington
Ethicare is recruiting experienced general practitioners for an established primary healthcare provider in the Wellington region — a permanent, eight-session role in a multidisciplinary practice with a diverse patient population.
About the role
An eight-session working week is the point of this one. For GPs relocating from systems where long weeks and heavy out-of-hours commitments have become the norm, it is a different shape of working life, and it is permanent rather than a locum arrangement.
You would provide comprehensive general practice care alongside experienced GPs, nurses and the wider primary care team, in a practice that serves a mixed community.
What the role involves
- Comprehensive general practice across a broad range of presentations
- Eight sessions a week, permanent
- A supportive multidisciplinary primary care environment
- A diverse patient population
- Support with New Zealand registration, immigration and relocation
About you
- A recognised medical qualification and solid post-qualification experience in general practice or family medicine
- Eligible, or potentially eligible, for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Comfortable with continuity of care and long-term patient relationships
- You do not need to have completed New Zealand registration before speaking with us — we can review your experience and set out the likely pathway first
