General Practitioner — Auckland

About the role

This is a supportive, multidisciplinary primary care environment working with diverse communities across Auckland. You would provide comprehensive primary care across a broad range of presentations, alongside experienced GPs, nurses and the wider primary healthcare team.

It is the kind of setting where you build long-term relationships with patients and, over time, become part of the local community rather than a passing face. Depending on your experience and interests, there may also be scope to work across different Auckland locations.

• Comprehensive primary care across a broad range of presentations
• Working within an established multidisciplinary team of GPs, nurses and wider primary healthcare staff
• Continuity of care and long-term patient relationships
• Scope to work across different Auckland locations, depending on your interests

About you

• A recognised medical qualification and solid post-qualification experience in general practice or family medicine
• Eligible, or potentially eligible, for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand — applications are welcome from New Zealand-based and internationally trained doctors alike
• Comfortable working with patients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
• You do not need to have completed New Zealand registration before getting in touch — we can assess your background first and set out the likely pathway
