Consultant Radiologist — Southland
Ethicare is recruiting a Consultant Radiologist in Southland. This is an opening for a general radiologist to join a close-knit team in the deep south, with the full range of modalities and the collegial feel of a smaller hospital.
About the role
You’ll work as part of a strong MDT in a radiology service offering a full range of modalities on digital RIS/PACS: MRI, interventional, CT and ultrasound (mammography is not provided). The role suits a radiologist with a general scope, including MRI and CT-guided procedures; ultrasound experience is an advantage but not essential.
It’s a flexible department that will make the most of your skills and support your special interests, with the close collegial relationships of a smaller hospital. You’ll often get feedback on how your patients got on after they left your care.
What the role involves
- General radiology reporting, including MRI and CT-guided procedures
- Participating in an out-of-hours on-call roster shared equally across the team
- Teaching and mentoring registrars within the regional training network
- Contributing to quality initiatives
About you
- FRANZCR (or equivalent), eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- A general scope of radiology skills; ultrasound experience an advantage
- An outstanding team player, enthusiastic about teaching
- International candidates eligible for MCNZ vocational registration are encouraged to apply
