Consultant Radiologist — Dunedin
Ethicare is recruiting a Consultant Radiologist in Dunedin. This is an opening for a generalist radiologist to join a forward-thinking department on the cusp of a move into a brand-new, fully digital hospital.
About the role
You’ll join the multidisciplinary radiology team of a public tertiary hospital serving around 310,000 people across the lower South Island, with a strong emphasis on emergency and inpatient imaging and excellent departmental support.
The service includes MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine and interventional procedures on modern RIS/PACS (mammography is not provided), with the chance to help shape an evolving, soon-to-be-fully-digital service.
What the role involves
- Reporting across a broad generalist caseload, particularly CT and MRI
- Emergency and inpatient imaging within a strong MDT
- Teaching and mentoring RANZCR registrars
- Joining the shared on-call roster
- Supporting quality improvement, with your subspecialty interests welcomed
About you
- FRANZCR or an equivalent qualification
- Eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Strong general radiology, including MRI and CT (ultrasound an advantage)
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a collaborative, patient-focused approach
